New Initiatives

The WSA constantly seeks out programs and initiatives designed to support its members at HBS and provide them with opportunities to interact and support other women in the Boston area. Two recent program additions include:

Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business

The WSA has a partnership with the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business (HUWIB) which allows WSA members to volunteer their time and resources to help this strong group of aspiring women business leaders achieve. Women from the WSA lead workshops, resumes reviews, speaker sessions, and provide mentoring support throughout the academic year.

Mothers and Families at HBS

As part of its mission to encourage diversity, HBS students include mothers who are taking advantage of the unique opportunity to acquire a HBS MBA which will equip them to become leaders. This is a small but unique group of students who juggle their responsibilities as mothers with life as a HBS student. The goals of this group include providing a social and support network for HBS students who are mothers, helping such students succeed at HBS and contributing to the success of the diversity mission of the school. Working with the administration and the WSA, the group focuses attention on the unique issues faced by these students and ensures that resources and the necessary support are channelled towards addressing these issues.
